Holiday Showhouse 2021
Residential
Concept
We set out to design a room that enveloped guests within a sanctuary of warmth, texture, and calm. Starting with an entrance hall displaying an antique Japanese Fisherman’s robe, we wanted to pass into our own cabinet of curiosities. We emphasized an unexpected color, from floor to trim, a free hand ceiling pattern, layers of texture, and, of course, lighting to create a world of its own. The hero of the room, a 42" spun brass disc, demonstrates our philosophy that lighting, while utilitarian, can also serve as art and exude craftmanship.
